The Bangladesh Association of Glasgow held their Annual Dinner in the Glasgow Science Centre on the 1st October. Valerie was the main Guest speaker at the event which also included the Leader of Glasgow City Council, a local MP and the Chairman of the National Theatre of Scotland.

Congratulations to VTT supporter Marion Skene and her 9 year old son Matthew, who completed the Dundee Cyclathon on 11th September 2016 raising, on the day, over £270 + gift aid. for the work of CRP. Matthew completed the course with ease. Medals well deserved.
Those who came were able to meet other supporters while eating the excellent curry provided by Kokhon and his helpers. Then in the afternoon we heard about developments at CRP from both Shafiq and Valerie. There’s a record of what was said in the Annual Meeting Minutes

The Annual Supporters Meeting and Reunion will be held this year on Saturday 14th May. As before it will be at St Paul’s Community Centre, 5 Rossmore Rd, Marylebone, London NW1 6NJ.

The Annual Charity Fair at St. John’s Renfield Church in Glasgow was held on Saturday 23rd April. VTT had a stall organised by long term VTT members Glen McGhee and Ross Gallacher.
The Bangladesh Association of Glasgow have been invited by the National Theatre of Scotland to contribute to a combined event in October 2016 in the Tramway Theatre. BAG regard VTT as their main charity for support.
Valerie will be coming to the UK in May 2016 and she will speak at a lunch in aid of CRP in Birmingham on Sunday May 8th at 1pm.
The lunch will be followed by a presentation and musical entertainment. The venue is:

The Bangladesh Association of Glasgow held an event to celebrate Bangladesh Victory Day on 19th December. The 15th December being the 44th Anniversary.
Sarwar Hassan, President (and VTT Member) organised the event on board the ‘Glenlee’ sailing ship which is moored at the Award winning Riverside Museum in Glasgow.
