The BAG in recent years have been celebrating the Victory Day of the Bangladesh Liberation War.
This year 19th December 2017 the BAG held the event in the Scottish Parliament in Edinburgh at the invitation of Ivan McKee MSP who did a 2 year VSO attachment in Bangladesh in the 1980s.

The Bangladesh Association of Glasgow held their Annual Dinner in the Glasgow Science Centre on the 1st October. Valerie was the main Guest speaker at the event which also included the Leader of Glasgow City Council, a local MP and the Chairman of the National Theatre of Scotland.

Congratulations to VTT supporter Marion Skene and her 9 year old son Matthew, who completed the Dundee Cyclathon on 11th September 2016 raising, on the day, over £270 + gift aid. for the work of CRP. Matthew completed the course with ease. Medals well deserved.

The Bangladesh Association of Glasgow have been invited by the National Theatre of Scotland to contribute to a combined event in October 2016 in the Tramway Theatre. BAG regard VTT as their main charity for support.

Valerie will be coming to the UK in May 2016 and she will speak at a lunch in aid of CRP in Birmingham on Sunday May 8th at 1pm.

Congratulations to Charlotte Balaam for raising £1,830 for VTT from a Ball that she organised near Cambridge in April. There were around 150 guests, with live music, good food, and of course dancing!
The Bangladesh Association of Glasgow (BAG) had a very successful ‘Nobo Borsho’ (Bengali New Year) event at the prestigious Burrell Museum Glasgow on 30th May. 200 guests including 10 VTT supporters attended the event. BAG is a recently reformed organisation under the chairmanship of VTT member Sarwar Hassan.
