VTT had its annual stall at the Charity Fair, St. John’s Renfield Church, Glasgow on 21st April, organised by Ross Gallacher and Glen McGhee (recently returned from CRP).

Very sadly, our Chairman Bertie Woolnough died suddenly on 21 March. He had been a supporter of CRP for over thirty years, and had led VTT with energy and vision since its inception 10 years ago. We shall miss him sorely, and our thoughts are with his family in their bereavement.

The Bangladesh Association of Glasgow held an event to celebrate Bangladesh Victory Day on 19th December. The 15th December being the 44th Anniversary.
Sarwar Hassan, President (and VTT Member) organised the event on board the ‘Glenlee’ sailing ship which is moored at the Award winning Riverside Museum in Glasgow.

There is a beautiful and moving new book called “Journeys” which tells the stories (in text and pictures) of people who have suffered Spinal Cord Injuries and been helped by CRP. Although it is printed in Bangladesh, there are now copies in the UK.

Dr Rose Mary Harley, a Scottish member of VTT, was awarded the OBE in the New Year Honours List. Rosemary is a Microbiologist working at Strathclyde University.
