Bangladesh Association of Glasgow raises £500 for VTT

The Bangladesh Association of Glasgow (BAG) had a very successful ‘Nobo Borsho’ (Bengali New Year) event at the prestigious Burrell Museum Glasgow on 30th May. 200 guests including 10 VTT supporters attended the event. BAG is a recently reformed organisation under the chairmanship of VTT member Sarwar Hassan.

Attendees included Local councillors and recently elected SNP MP Alison Thewliss.
The evening included a Bengali meal prepared by the women of BAG and subsequent very colourful and musical Bangladesh presentations. Of particular note was the contribution of the children (Bangla Bidya Niketon).

The colourful masks and other stall adornments were brought directly from Dhaka.

VTT had a stall at the event and proceeds of a raffle and auction amounting to £500 were very kindly donated to VTT.

The Association can be truly proud of all the hard work and preparation which went into the evening.
We are very grateful for the relationship VTT has with BAG and also the Bengali Performing Arts of Glasgow.
