The Bangladesh Association of Glasgow held an event to celebrate Bangladesh Victory Day on 19th December. The 15th December being the 44th Anniversary.
Sarwar Hassan, President (and VTT Member) organised the event on board the ‘Glenlee’ sailing ship which is moored at the Award winning Riverside Museum in Glasgow.
The event had newsreel footage of the Liberation War. A special childrens’ event was held and an emphasis on peace rather than war.The children produced some very good art work. Bryan and Graeme Whitty represented VTT. Those of us who had been present throughout the war related some of the aspects of the war we had experienced.
There was an opportunity to sell some copies of ‘Journeys’.
