Following a very successful concert given by the Imerys Mid Cornwall Male Choir with guest soloists Karen & Bromley Hurn, Roger and Jan Varney were able to present a cheque for £750 to Val when she was on holiday with them in May this year.
Since then they have worked on a project to buy special mattresses designed by us for patients in the hospital at CRP to help with the prevention and healing of pressure sores.
Thanks to Barclay’s Bank and other generous personal donations, they have raised the £5500 needed and the mattresses are now being made in Dhaka and will soon be in use at CRP.
