VTT Management Commitee and Trustees

MR BEN CLACKSON
Chairman 2018 – present; Trustee 2007 – present

He was resident in Dhaka 1980 – 1982 when serving with the British High Commission; supporter of CRP from that time; last visited CRP in 2019; Founder Chairman of VTT.

MR SAYADUL KHALED
Treasurer 2019 – present, Trustee 2019 – present

He is a Management Accountant and also a Trustee of the Fenchugonj Education Trust. Has visited CRP several times, most recently in 2019.

MR ZAHIRUL HAQUE

Secretary 2021 – present, Trustee 2021 – present

Zahir is a qualified chartered accountant working as a Senior audit manager at an International Bank in London. He is also the Treasurer of a local community organisation and Board member of a regional Voluntary sector body.

MR MOKHTAR HUSSAIN
Trustee 2007 – present

He is a British Bangladeshi who has lived in Leicester since 1972; member of the Executive Committee of the Leicester Racial Equality Committee; supporter of CRP for 15 years: last visited CRP in 2018.

MRS MARGARET HAKIM
Trustee 2010 – present

She has had a long association with Bangladesh since 1964 through her late husband; lived in Dhaka 1967-1971; speaks Bengali and Urdu; regular visitor to Bangladesh; last visited CRP in 2012.

 

MR M A RASHID
Trustee 2016 – present

He has been Chairman & Councillor of the local Parish Council since 2006. He has often visited CRP where he was inspired by one of the boys from his village being treated there, and also by the Rana Plaza victims. Last visited CRP in 2018.

MS HELEN MORTIMER
Trustee 2012 – 2017 and 2020 – present; Editor of Spring Newsletter since 2015

Qualified as Physiotherapist and Volunteered at CRP in 2009 and 2012. Works for NHS with a specialist interest in Neurology and Spinal Cord Injury.

MR GLEN MCGHEE
Trustee 2019 – present

He is an orthotist who worked in disability for about 40 years. In the late 1980′s he worked in Bangladesh on a project through CRP for 2½ years, and he has visited CRP about 5 times in the last 10 years.

 

MR JAHANGIR ALAM
Trustee 2018 – present

Jahangir graduated from CRP and worked in Bangladesh as an Occupational Therapist before he moved in London. Currently he works in the NHS and liaises with academics & students for their placement at CRP.

DR MOHAMED SAKEL
Trustee 2021 – present

He is Director / Consultant Neurorehab physician at East Kent Neurorehab service. He delivered invited lectures at CRP & led research projects with collaboration of UK & Bangladesh, including CRP. As a dual citizen, he is active in professional & charity works in UK & Bangladesh.

MR BRIAN WOODGATE
VTT Administrator 2009 – present

He has held senior appointments in both the ambulance and police services; has been a supporter of CRP for over 20 years; has been a frequent visitor to Bangladesh in recent years; last visited CRP in 2011.
