Rangers collection arranged by Iain Whitty raised almost £1700!

On Saturday 14th September a team of 30 Volunteers helped to collect funds for VTT with a can/bucket collection prior to kick of at the Rangers V Arbroath football game at Ibrox Stadium (Home of Glasgow Rangers Football Club).

We are very grateful to Rangers FC charity office for allowing us to collect at their ground and this is the second time we have been along to Ibrox (Previously we collected at the Rangers V Hearts Game in 2010).

The collection took place prior to kick off as fans streamed through the turn styles, many fans would be unaware of the work of VTT however they still put their hands in their pockets and gave what change they could which is so generous of them.

The volunteers worked really hard on the day and a good time was had by all, there was plenty of friendly banter with the fans and we hope to build a good relationship with the club and return again in the future.

Thanks to Sarwar Hassan, Ross Gallagher and Glen McGhee for coordinating the volunteers and to all the volunteers for kindly helping out on the day. The tight timelines for such an event takes a lot of preparation and planning and everyone was working really hard to fit in with all the other things going on at the stadium.

Great Thanks also to G4s Security who were our Health and Safety officers on the day and were very friendly and helpful start to finish of the event
